Kenya Land Alliance
Kenya Land Alliance is a non profit and non partisan network that brings together civil society organisations, community groups, academia and other stakeholders working on land governance in Kenya. Established in 1999 and later registered as an NGO in 2013, it advocates for the effective implementation of land policies and laws to promote secure, equitable access to land and natural resources. Through strong partnerships at county, national and international levels, KLA works to strengthen land rights and support sustainable livelihoods across Kenya.

Enzi Ijayo
Enzi Ijayo Africa Initiative is a Pan-African think and do tank that brings together academia, the private sector, civil society and governments to develop policies that drive investment in green energy solutions. Our goal is to support Africa’s sustainable economic development by fostering inclusive, equitable and accountable energy transition policies.

Katiba Institute
Katiba Institute is an organisation established in 2011 to promote understanding, protection and effective implementation of Kenya’s Constitution. It works across areas such as human rights, leadership and integrity, devolution, gender, elections, environmental and land justice, mainly through litigation, research, publications and civic education. The Institute also supports the advancement of constitutionalism and democratic freedoms within Kenya and across the East African region.

Conservation Alive Kenya
Conservation Alive Kenya is an organisation focused on promoting ecological balance and sustainable development through ecosystem restoration and biodiversity conservation. By implementing nature based solutions and community driven initiatives, it works to build climate resilient communities and ensure the long term protection of natural resources.

OXFAM
Oxfam is a global development confederation working in more than 90 countries to fight poverty, inequality and injustice by promoting people’s rights, sustainable livelihoods and inclusive decision making. In Kenya, Oxfam partners with communities and organisations to deliver development and humanitarian programmes, strengthen governance, support women’s empowerment and promote equitable access to natural resources and basic services. Its 2025 to 2030 country strategy focuses on expanding civic space, ensuring fair resource sharing, enhancing women’s participation in public life and reducing the impact of humanitarian crises.

Friends of Lake Turkana
Friends of Lake Turkana is an indigenous and women led organisation that works with communities in the Turkana Basin to advance social, economic, environmental and territorial justice. Operating mainly in Turkana and Upper Marsabit counties, it partners with pastoralists and local communities to protect their rights, livelihoods and natural resources.

Transparency International
Transparency International Kenya is a national civil society organisation established in 1999 to promote a transparent, accountable and corruption free society. Through advocacy, research, civic engagement, strategic litigation and partnerships, it works at national and county levels to prevent and challenge corruption while strengthening systems of good governance and public integrity. As part of the global Transparency International movement, TI Kenya operates independently with programmes tailored to Kenya’s governance context and maintains regional outreach through Advocacy and Legal Advice Centres across the country.

Kenya Human Rights Commission
The Kenya Human Rights Commission is a leading non governmental organisation established in the early 1990s to promote human rights centred governance in Kenya and across Africa. Founded by Kenyan human rights activists in exile, it advances advocacy, civic mobilisation and accountability efforts at county, national, regional and international levels to protect and defend fundamental rights. Through its long standing work in democratic reform and social justice, KHRC has gained recognition as an influential voice in promoting lasting political and social change.

Natural Justice
Natural Justice is a legal advocacy organisation that works with indigenous peoples and local communities in Africa to advance human rights and environmental justice. Through legal empowerment, research, policy influence and litigation, it supports communities to secure rights to land, natural resources and traditional knowledge, while defending them against harmful environmental and social impacts. The organisation also engages at national, regional and international levels to shape laws and policies that recognise customary rights and strengthen community responses to climate and conservation challenges.

International Commission of Jurists
ICJ Kenya is a non governmental, member based organisation established in 1959 to promote human rights, the rule of law and a just and equitable society in Kenya. As the autonomous Kenyan section of the International Commission of Jurists, it brings together members from the Bar and the Bench and undertakes governance, advocacy and institutional strengthening initiatives. The organisation is headquartered in Nairobi and holds observer status with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

International Institute for Legislative Affairs
The International Institute for Legislative Affairs is a not for profit organisation that provides technical support to government institutions, parliamentarians and civil society actors in the legislative process. Through research, policy and legislative drafting, advocacy and capacity building, it works to promote the development and implementation of people centred laws and policies. Its core programme areas include health governance, tax justice and natural resource governance.

Society for International Development
The Society for International Development is an international network founded in 1957 to promote socio economic justice and strengthen democratic participation in development processes. Emerging in the context of post war reconstruction and decolonisation, the organisation has played a leading role in advancing inclusive and equitable development globally.

Recourse
Recourse is an international non profit organisation that advocates for democratic, accountable and environmentally sustainable practices among international financial institutions. Working in solidarity with civil society movements and affected communities, it promotes reforms to the global financial system to ensure that development prioritises human rights, social justice and environmental protection.

Resource Justice Network
Resource Justice Network is a global civil society network rooted in frontline communities that advocates for fair and accountable governance of natural resources. Evolving from the Publish What You Pay campaign, it now brings together over 1000 member organisations across more than 50 countries to promote shared prosperity and environmental sustainability.
